South West Child Health Information Services (CHIS)

On 1st April 2018, Health Intelligence launched the first part of the new South West Child Health Information Service. The service will cover approximately 707,500 0-19 year olds. Services in Plymouth, Exeter and North Devon, transferred on 1st April 2018. The service for the remainder of Devon (Torbay and South Devon) will transfer on 1st July 2018 along with Cornwall, Isles of Scilly, Bristol, North Somerset, Somerset and South Gloucestershire area.

The Child Health Information Service liaises across care settings, agencies and regions to ensure that children and young people in their local population receive all the care and services that they are entitled to.

We were very happy to welcome our new Child Health Information Service staff to the Health Intelligence family and look forward to meeting the rest of our new colleagues in July. For this service we have also launched the healthcare professional CHIS website, feel free to take a peek www.swchis.co.uk
