On the 11th October 2019, people with diabetes in Kent & Medway will start to receive their diabetic eye screening delivered by Health Intelligence.
Eye screening is a key part of diabetes care to check for diabetic retinopathy, a condition that can lead to sight loss if it’s not detected early and treated. Everyone aged 12 and over with diabetes receives an invitation to this service once a year.
This area joins our other successful diabetic eye screening programmes in Berkshire, Devon, Dorset, East Anglia, Essex, Greater Manchester North & South, North West London and Hampshire & Isle of Wight. Once again, we will utilise our own unique software, Spectra, bringing a wealth of experience and innovation to programmes.
Phil Kirby, Managing Director of Health Intelligence said, “We are delighted to have been selected to provide this service and the whole organisation is looking forward to continuing the first-class service people with diabetes receive in Kent & Medway.”
We will now work closely with the current programme provider to ensure a smooth handover before we begin delivering services on 11th October 2019.
