Junior IT Support Analyst
Health Intelligence (HI) is a leading provider of bespoke software, analytics and managed solutions to the NHS as well as major provider of the DES (Diabetic Eye Screening) services under NHS contract. HI operates the North West London, Essex, East Anglia and Portsmouth & South East Hampshire Diabetic Eye Screening Programmes.
Health Intelligence is seeking a highly enthusiastic Junior IT Support Analyst to help support to help support HI’s busy IT function, based at our headquarters in Sandbach, Cheshire.
Salary: £15,000-£20,000 plus shift allowance (dependent on experience)
Annual Leave: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
Pension: Salary sacrifice with employer contributions
The post holder would be required to:
- Be primary first line IT support contact
- Logging and assigning support tickets
- Attempt basic fixes before escalation
- Imaging of desktops/laptops
- Supporting office equipment (desktop, printers, laptops, VOIP phones)
- Provide account administration on Active Directory and Office 365
- Carry out procurement of equipment
- Assist in the management and logging of assets
- On occasion crawling under desk running cables
- Carrying general IT office admin and back-off administration tasks
- Potentially having to travel to other HI sites around the UK (mostly in the South East)
- Work as part of a shift pattern covering the following core support hours are Mon-Fri 08:00-20:00 and Sat 09:00-12:00 (subject to change)
- Any other tasks required by the IT Manager
Must:
- Basic understand of network concepts i.e. DHCP, DNS and TCP/IP etc.
- Reasonable knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products
- Able to work under pressure
- Confident and approachable with an excellent telephone manner
- Systematic and Logical approach to problem solving and the ability to follow set procedures
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong troubleshooting abilities on all technology covered about and able to provide this in the form of remote support
- A full UK driving license and access to own transport
- Be able to pass a CRB check
Desirable:
- Experience working on a helpdesk
- Awareness of Information Governance
- CompTIA qualifications or equivalent
- Experience of using PXE based imaging or equivalent software i.e. Norton Ghost, Acronis etc.
